About the Author
It is difficult to imagine the great wilderness that existed in the United States before the modern age, and yet we are only 100-some years removed from a land that was densely populated — with forests and animals. Saxton Pope had the benefit of contact with one of the last members of the Yahi tribe in California, and from him he learned and perfected the art of bow hunting.
