About the Author

For almost fifty years I have been involved in Church music and Bible teaching. I taught adult classes, served as guest teacher, and guest speaker at churches during those years. If I was involved in the music of a church, I taught a Bible class there, and since I would never teach anything except the Bible itself, that meant I developed my own class format, which demanded a lot of research and study. I hold an LL.B. degree, however, and as does every law student, I learned very early the importance of, and how to do research and documentation. This has served me well in my Bible study preparation. In addition, I am especially blessed in having a good library. Many things contributed to the enrichment of my years in the study of law. One in particular was the opportunity of working with a blind judge and having to learn to read and write Braille. A great experience. There was also the time that I worked as a proofreader on a newspaper, getting to see how a paper was put together, hearing the jargon, confusion, and excitement that goes on in the various areas, being filled with wonder at the completed product that came out of that melee. Through the years I have taken advantage of so many special courses and non-credit classes until I cannot remember them. I only know they added spice to so many things I have been privileged to experience. I have a certificate in accounting that I acquired somewhere along the line and, though I am not now licensed, I was a nurse, and worked for and with my husband, who was a physician, for many years. I served on our City Board of Education (an elected office), served as Chairman of the body, and was Chairman of Personnel for twelve years. During that time I wrote a Parliamentary-Leadership Training Course, which I taught in the High School, and for a number of civic, professional and church organizations, which included the local Synagogue, over a period of several years.
