Synopsis

Michael is a senior English major at Thorncrest College. During his first semester he embarks on a soul-searching assignment given by Romantic Literature Professor Harrison Alexander, who soon becomes a trusted mentor. Michael finds instant friendship in David, his over-worked, pre-med roommate and Charlie Mitchell, an eternally optimistic business major. In his search for inspiration, Michael also meets Madeline, an enchanting art student who is blind. She helps Michael see into his own heart, and his inspired words help her to visualize a world that had been shrouded in darkness. Michael's happiness and hopes for the future are soon compromised as tragedy befalls two of his dear friends. His search for self takes him to new depths of fear and compassion as he struggles to help them.
