Synopsis
In a land where dragons are myth and the Angels forgotten, Evil seeks domination. Paladins with swords of light combat the darkness, but are loathed by those they protect. Imperial soldiers are commanded by corrupt, power-hungry generals, while bands of resistance fighters clash against the forces of Evil. Meanwhile, Mavrid, a carefree youth, lives with his uncle Jonath in a remote village, unaware of his part in this turmoil. However, as certain truths are revealed, Mavrid must unwillingly embark on a quest to save the world from self destruction. He will have to brave mountains, cross seas, encounter dragons, fight the armies of men and Evil, and stand against the Angels to rescue humankind from annihilation. Thus begins the Dragons & Angels series...

About the Author
Rix Thorsell was born in Wooddale, Illinois in 1987 and lived there for six months before moving to Glen Ellyn, IL where he currently resides. He has two younger siblings his brother Robert and his sister Elizabeth.As a writer, Rix composed his first "book" at age 4. As he continued with his interests in writing, he began a series of science fiction novels at age 12. The first two major works were never published. Finally, at age 15, he was able to begin the Dragons & Angels series, and after countless hours of writing, it was ready for publication. Rix is currently at work on his second book in this series, due within the next year.
