Today was a good day for me. I was finally able to verbalize why I like reading the Qur'an more than I like reading the Bible. I am basically a gentle, caring, person who believes that children should be taught to respect their mother and father because they are two different kinds of people. Being a woman, I do not like to constantly have to worry about War and Terrorism or see dead bodies on TV or read about animal sacrifices in books (like the Bible). Being the kind of person who holds those ugly images in her brain for quite awhile (as in psychic) it takes me a longer time than most people to get over the disgust and yucky feeling that is naturally associated with such things. I don't like to be humiliated in public- which is perfectly normal. I don't like to be demeaned in Mental Institutions, or Police Stations, or in my own living room for that matter. Perfectly normal human emotions. I have not handled my money in an exemplary manner, but a lot of people can say the same thing. I don't waste my money on gambling, drugs, alcohol, junk food, frivolous lawsuits, unnecessary doctor or dentist visits, tanning salons, health club memberships, I don't mind wearing clothes from Goodwill, I don't speak slanderously of other people, I do not like malicious gossipers, I don't like to be threatened by men who I am in an intimate relationship with, I like to stay involved in current events, the corruption of our government makes me somewhat angry -- Most people understand the corruption starts from the bottom and works it's way up, or maybe they don't. Law enforcement officials are the bottom and the corruption works it way up from there. Unfortunately in our Patriarchal society Men don't give a diddly poop about a Women's rights and they never have. I have a right to my feelings and I shall keep them just the way they are, without the help of any drugs, Thank you very much. Signed Sharon Ann Sampon
