About the Author
Colin Spoelman and David Haskell are the founders of Kings County Distillery, the oldest whiskey distillery in New York City and the first in operation since Prohibition. Colin, a former rooftop moonshiner from Kentucky, and David, the great-grandson of a Prohibition-era bootlegger from New York, fuse ancient practices and modern technology to make small-scale batches of moonshine, bourbon, and other whiskeys.
From the Back Cover
From the authors of The Kings County Distillery Guide to Urban Moonshining, this gift for whiskey enthusiasts contains: (1) a hardcover journal for with guided pages whiskey-tasting notes, (2) a home-distiller's logbook with guided pages for making notes on the whiskey-making process, and (3) a fold-out poster of the American Family Tree of Whiskey (a graphic from the book that was featured on GQ.com and subsequently went viral--garnering 37K likes on Facebook and requests for a printed edition). The slipcase is wrapped in a removable band that will feature the Kings County Distillery name and all of the product marketing copy. In addition to being a cool design element, this removable band enables easy customization for proprietary editions (for which there could be significant opportunity).
