A story of friendship, loyalty and faith.
A battle of wills between the king of a peaceful medieval kingdom whose instincts have awakened to the human need for war and conquest and a mysterious holyman, his childhood teacher, who preached "Thou shall not kill."
Driven by his instincts, the king leads his people to war and total destruction. The holyman forgives and guides the king over many years until he has attained humility and grace and understands the value of human life. The king then returns to his people to lead them back to their previous age of innocence.
