About the Author

Patrice Wiper, 45, is a California native and the mother of an adult daughter. She resides in Petaluma, California.Diagnosed with Melanoma at the age of 40, and breast cancer at 41, she learned to see opportunities for growth in what first appeared to be huge obstacles. Embracing the healing process with acceptance, gratitude and humor, she allowed her cancer experience to empower her and transform her life. Patrice's unique ability to articulate emotions and express them through written and spoken word has been a gift to the cancer community. Her sense of humor offers lightness to what is often a dark and scary experience. Currently in remission, Patrice continues to live every day with a sense wonder and awe.
