Synopsis
Tony Wallace has too much on his plate: the town's most prominent lawyer, shot dead in the borrow ditch; one drug dealer lying dead on the ground in front of an abandoned car, one live one in the trunk; a dirty senator taking bribes to block the killer's extradition back to Montana; an FBI sting; the state Democratic party leadership wooing him to run for the governor's office; a wife and son who need him at home. About the Author
Steve Buttress did his time in a suit and tie, working with four governors as his community and economic development career spanned the continent; from Montana to Florida, Nebraska to Delaware, Ohio to Oklahoma. The governors weren't nearly as much fun as some of the characters he met along the trail. Steve now writes novels, non-fiction, and children's books from his retreat in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and from his home in central Nebraska.
