The Basque people have intrigued historians for years. Numerous studies have tried to focus on the origins of the Basques and their language, Euskera. Scholars and political scientists have analyzed the advancement made by Basque nationalism. However, not much literature has been devoted to reviewing Basque nationalism as an impediment to itself. Nationalism is comprised of many components that unite under a common goal.
