Parade of Days is the story of Lois, Eddie, Ann, Andre, Margaret and Harry, homeless, employed, elderly, middle-aged, young and fascinatingly complex. These people dance through the books they love, seeking to find personal meaning in them, but struggle with tragedy, and, sometimes elegiac triumph. This surprisingly erotic story is told with the fine craftsmanship of a literary novel while speaking clearly to any sensitive adult. To take the flowing journey of Parade of Days, with all its turns and surprises, is to ride a strong, distinctly human river all the way to the deep ocean we call living.

James A. Freeman is a transplanted Shasta County, Californian, who, for twenty-two years, has taught English at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA. The author of fifteen books, Mr. Freeman's own favorite fiction titles are Ishi's Journey from the Center to the Edge of the World (Naturegraph), Never the Same River Twice (Charles B. McFadden) and the present novel. Freeman is a graduate of Shasta College, Reed College and Humboldt University who taught writing at Humboldt University and Southern Oregon University before his current post. He lives in Richboro, PA with his family, two dogs, one thoroughbred horse, and a cockatiel: all enjoy the company of recent grandkids, Hailey, Tyler and Dylan, the children of Chris, Freeman's stepson, and Heather, daughter-in-law extraordinaire. Stepson John also lives nearby. Freeman returns west often to visit his California family, climbing Cascade Mountains and fishing with his father, Dr. James H. Freeman, a semi-retired ex-Army medical officer.
