About the Authors

Christy Newman, an Ed.D. in administration and supervision, has taught fourth grade, high school English and adult ESL. She was the Teacher Edition writer/manager for Visions A, B and C. She also wrote the Staff Development Handbook for Visions. For McGraw Hill, she authored Taking Off Pre-Book 1 for adult English Language Learners. For New Readers Press, she authored the LifePrints series and the Voyager 1 student book, workbook and teacher notes.

Judith Diamond has taught ESL and mathematics for over 25 years at various levels. She has a degree in Education and a Master's degree in English with a TESOL emphasis and 30+ hours in mathematics. For the last twelve years she has worked as a consultant with the Adult Learning Resource Center near Chicago, Illinois developing training and materials for K-12 and adult education. Her published works include contributions to textbooks, videos and CD-ROMs.
