Synopsis
Based on first-hand experiences and observations of how the Department of Homeland Security is failing to make America safe, Ervin reveals the biggest threats to America - from nuclear attack, to subway vulnerability, border weakness and how easy it is for terrorists to get into the country. He candidly addresses how he was pushed out by the White House that brought him in - because he didn't play along and put a positive spin on his disturbing findings. He shows how his team's prescriptions for urgent change were ignored, leaving the US vulnerable to another terrorist attack.

About the Author
CLARK KENT ERVIN is former Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security and currently holds a post at the Aspen Institute think tank. Prior, Ervin served as Inspector General of the State Department for over a year under Secretary Colin Powell, and worked as Assistant Secretary of the State of Texas under President George W. Bush when he was Governor of Texas. Ervin has been profiled in media such as U.S. News and World Report, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post, among others.
