Why did September 11th happen? What can the American citizen do to keep it from happening again? Isn't it time to get real and root out the causes of such a tragedy? In the provocative pages of WARS R'US, veteran political writer Otis Carney tells the truth about American foreign policy, how the numbing of war propaganda makes the citizen feel powerless to stop the worldwide violence being wreaked in our name. But WARS R'US gives us back our power. It dramatizes how each of us as patriotic, committed Americans must stand up and be counted. Make our voices heard. Demand changes in our political system so that we can reject endless war as the only solution. Instead, in our rising consciousness, take the realistic actions for peace that our nation and humanity will one day bless us for.
