About the Author
Born Stephen Paul in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Esteban began teaching himself to play at age eight. In 1974, after relentlessly pursuing Segovia, he finally achieved his goal of working with the master in Spain. Four years later, Esteban began touring?but after a tragic automobile accident he lost his ability to play for a decade. Finally, through dedication and his love of music, he overcame his injuries. Since then, he has topped the Billboard charts many times and created his own line of affordable guitars.
