Les Réflexions sur Mérimée parurent, dans une édition à tirage restreint, à la fin de 1920 pour le cin quantenaire de sa mort. Je ne souhaite pas revenir sur un sujet que des travaux récents d' autres aussi qui se préparent vont sans doute notablement renou veler je m'en voudrais toutefois de ne point signaler l'introduction qu'en 1922 Edmond jaloux écrivit pour l'édition de La Double Méprise que donna le Florilège Français, morceau si mystérieusement accompli que la critique semble avoir pris ici le moulage même du modèle.
