Excerpt from Practical Exercises in Physiological Optics
This book was written for the practical classes in Physiological Optics required by the regulations for the Diploma in Ophthalmology of the University of Oxford. I have conducted such classes for the last two years in the Physiological Laboratory, Oxford, for Professor Gotch. Hence the occasionally minute instructions with regard to particular instruments. But for the most part the descriptions are general, and it is hoped that the book may be found useful in other laboratories.
I have omitted experiments which can be shown quite well during a lecture, and have included those from which more can be learnt by the actual doing of them.
