Exogem, Or Dicotyledonous plants, or such as have dis tinct pith, Wood, and bark, in the stem and its ramifications leaves made up of reticulations, or of mesh-like structure and having an embryo with two or more opposite seed lobes, which being called cotyledons, and the generality of this section of Vasculares having only two of these cotyledons,d the whole section is characterized by this number, and calls Dicotyledonous plants. All plants of this section grow Y new layers annually deposited on the exterior surface.
