Excerpt from On the Principle of Limiting Absorption
In many practical problems of electromagnetic theory the sources producing the electromagnetic field have a sinusoidal time dependence. It is then assumed that the resulting electro magnetic field also has this time dependence and the resulting problem then becomes a simpler problem which is essentially time independent.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a fascinating treatise on the principle of limiting absorption for elliptic equations with self-adjoint operators. It focuses on the theoretical underpinnings of this principle, a powerful mathematical technique used to solve boundary value problems in various fields. The author skillfully demonstrates the existence and uniqueness of solutions to these problems, exploring the relationship between the limiting absorption principle and other important concepts like the limiting amplitude principle. Through rigorous analysis and insightful explanations, this book not only illuminates the subject but also unveils its deep implications in understanding the behavior of solutions to elliptic equations.
