The author measured critical radiating potentials for 11 gases and vapors and identified the L series limits of sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulphur, and chlorine. Additionally, the K series limits of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen are identified, as well as the softest X -ray limits (M series) of potassium.
