The present catalogue, the first of its kind, with the exception of a few union lists of periodicals and incunabula, to be issued either in this country or abroad, is the outcome of a suggestion made early in 1904 at a meeting of the Joint Architectural Committee which is composed of representatives of the University of Manchester, of the Manchester Edu cation Committee, and of the Manchester Society of Architects.
