Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book eloquently argues the moral obligation of observing a Christian Sabbath. It presents arguments drawn from the nature of man, the historical record of its divine appointment, and the explicit teachings of the Christian Scriptures. The author emphasizes that the Sabbath was not an arbitrary appointment but a provision made for the real interests of man, designed to meet his physical, intellectual, and moral needs. The author contends that the Christian Sabbath, while differing in character and design from the Jewish Sabbath, retains the moral obligation of the primeval Sabbath, which has existed from the beginning of creation. By exploring the depth, breadth, and historical context of the Sabbath, this book sheds new light on this essential element of Christian life.
