The second thing done in applying swf was to devise an accurate approx imation method to integrate functions containing three or more interelectron coordinates over the space of the nuclear coordinates (including angles). In Section 4 an accurate approximation method is described which consists of expanding the functions containing the interelectron coordinates about well-chosen points in the space of the nuclear coordinates. The approx imation technique is tested in helium-like systems and is found to be better than 99 3q> accurate.
