In other words, once more in the history of Art the Classical is giving way to the natural, and we are endeavouring to leave tradition in order to bring our methods into line With present ideals.
But in all changes it is prudent to proceed cautiously, and in this book an attempt is made to preserve What is good in old methods While pointing out the best ways of commencing and pursuing newer and more educational courses.
