Bad copy is a bane to the printer, and much trouble and annoyance is obviated if good ms. Is supplied at the outset. To write clearly entails but little extra labour, the habit once acquired becoming second nature.
Every printing establishment of any note has its methods and customs as regards ortho graphy, capitalization, and punctuation. As a rule, it is best to leave these details to the printer; any little deviation desired may be easily remedied 1n the proofs with which the author is supplied. At any rate, it is best that the capitals be kept down as much as possible, spelling only proper names and titles with a capital letter.
