Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book focuses on understanding the dynamics of make-or-buy decisions within organizations. The transaction cost approach is used to examine the trade-offs between producing goods or services internally versus purchasing them from external suppliers. The author explores how factors such as asset specificity, uncertainty, and market competition influence these decisions. Drawing on empirical research, the book examines how production costs and transaction costs are affected by market competition and buyer experience. The author concludes that make-or-buy decisions are not simply driven by cost considerations but also by strategic and organizational factors that affect a firm's efficiency and competitiveness. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
