Under the Conduct of the truly Valiant Sr William Phips Kt General, and of John Wally Esq Li[eu'] General, about 2500 Souldjers and Marriners are imbarked out of New England Colonies and set Sayle upon the 9'h August 1690 from Masachusetts bay with great hopes and expectations to conquer New France and therefore bent our Course thither[ward] with all convenient speed hastening to Canada River and then up to the chief Towne on the River called Kebeque. Before which Towne after many yea af[ter] many sensible Items of Divine favour all allong o[ur] Voyage, We Cast Anchor early in the Morning upon [2] the 6th of October 1690.
