Excerpt from Regulation of Railway Rates on Interstate Freight Traffic
I have pointed out the facts bearing upon rate regula tion as it was given to me to see them from my own Observation, and from documents in my possession or to which I have had access. The thoughtful reader will make his own deductions. I have thought that my own opinions and conclusions might be of some interest from the fact that they are based on experience acquired dur ing my continuous connection with American railroads from 1851 to the present time.
