His volume contains translations of the Charters granted by the Crown to the Company of Cloth workers of the City of London. In the nineteenth year of King Henry VIII. [a.d. 1527 - 8] the ancient Fraternities or Guilds of the Fullers and Shearmen were united and conjoined by the name of The Guild or Fraternity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Clothworkers in the City of London.
