Chap. I. No Expressed Connection. In some instances the only indication of connection between two adjacent sentences lies in the fact of their juxtaposition. This is often sufficient for clearness (1) in rapid narrative, (2) in inventories or summaries, (3) in cases where the logical relation between two sentences is so apparent as to render explicit connection unnecessary.
