Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. In this book, the author, a Catholic bishop with decades of experience in China, gives Western readers a unique insight into the true nature of the Chinese people and the potential for the spread of Catholicism in the region. This new perspective challenges many of the negative stereotypes that have been perpetuated in the West. The author argues that although the Chinese have many imperfections, they are not as inherently wicked or depraved as some have claimed. In fact, they possess many positive qualities, such as intelligence, skill, and a strong work ethic. The author also discusses the obstacles to the spread of Catholicism in China, such as poverty, superstition, and the influence of Confucianism. Despite these obstacles, the author believes that there is great potential for the growth of Catholicism in China. He points to the fact that the number of Catholics in China has been growing steadily in recent years. He also argues that the Chinese people are inherently religious and that they are open to the message of Christianity. This book is a valuable resource for anyone who is interested in China or in the spread of Catholicism. It provides a unique perspective on the Chinese people and their culture and offers a hopeful message about the future of Christianity in China.
