In these circumstances' doctrinal preaching becomes a duty, and, by God's blessing, may establish believers in their faith, and prepare them for the future, which, with its grave problems and enormous tasks, is making its advent felt in uneasy and foreboding hearts.

It need scarcely be said that preparation for doctrinal preaching must be very careful.
