Seller: Forgotten Books, London, United Kingdom
Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is an impassioned defense of the recently formed political coalition between Charles James Fox and his Whig followers with the followers of the late Lord Rockingham. The author argues that this coalition is the only viable political group capable of reforming the government, which has long since abandoned its commitment to the people. The author argues that the only other party capable of leading the country, the followers of Lord Shelburne, is untrustworthy and would be disastrous if given power. The author's defense of this coalition is insightful and well-argued, making this book essential reading for anyone interested in British politics at the end of the 18th century.
