Excerpt from The Law and Practice Regulating the Disposition of Surplus Moneys Arising From the Sale of Lands Upon Mortgage Foreclosures
Although the proceedings upon references of this nature are after final judgment, and are had subsequent to the final re ort of sale, yet the practice will be found to be substantially the same as references upon interlocutory orders before final judgment, under the practice in the late Court of Chancery, subject to the present rules of 'court, and will be so treated in the following pages.
