In a letter written by Mr. Webster, as late as the 17th of March, 1852, to John Taylor, the overseer of his estate at Franklin, he thus recurs to the memory of his mother. After various instructions in detail, he says: Take care to keep my mother's garden in good order, even if it cost you the wages of a man to take care of it.
