Excerpt from Notes on the Book of the Revelation
Verse 1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, not which God gave concerning Him, but which God gave unto Him; thus removing the veil which hung over the future, both as to time and to eternity. In the Divine actings there is order, harmony, and unity. The three persons in the adorable Trinity ever act in unison, but each in their own order: everything originates with the Father, is accomplished through the Son, and by the Holy Ghost.
