Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the complex world of education. It argues that education is a form of leading out or drawing out the powers of the mind. This process is closely linked to the development of brain activities, as every mental process corresponds to a physiological change in the brain. The author highlights that the purpose of education is to modify mental and moral growth. This modification is not limited to the school environment but is an ongoing process that begins at birth and continues throughout an individual's life. However, the book places particular emphasis on the role of schools in shaping this growth. Schools embody the ideal that the community holds for its citizens, and the curriculum and methods employed reflect the community's beliefs about what constitutes a desirable education. Ultimately, the book underscores the significance of education in developing the cognitive and ethical qualities of individuals. By nurturing the mind and fostering personal growth, education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of society.
