Synopsis

This book explores four poems of knightly adventure by four great poets: Tennyson, Arnold, Macaulay, and Lowell. It presents a detailed analysis of their artistic devices, narrative techniques, and use of figurative language. The book offers a comparative examination of how these poets depict the chivalrous ideal and explore themes of honor, courage, and self-sacrifice. Through the lens of these poems, the book sheds light on the broader literary and historical context of the Arthurian legend and Victorian poetry.
