Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a compilation of French composition texts written by an author who introduces an innovative idea: teaching students to translate live English into live French. The author argues that many composition books provide artificial English sentences for translation, which does not provide genuine practice. This book is divided into two parts: the first is meant as preparation for the second, containing easier texts, while the second is entirely composed of excerpts from English or American newspapers and magazines. The author has tested these selections and found them effective in the classroom. The vast majority of the texts in the second half of the book have been tested in the classroom and found to give satisfaction. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Seller Inventory # 9781330620724_0
