Excerpt from Geography of the British Isles
Some words of explanation may be offered in adding another to the long list of already published Geo graphies of the British Isles. The present little work has been prepared in accordance with the plan of instruction advocated in my Teaching of Geography. It is mainly designed for children who have already acquired an elementary knowledge of what geography is, not from class-books, but from practical instruction based on the topography of their own district.
