For a number of years considerable attention has been paid to science in the high schools. In recent years general science has found its way quite universally into the junior high school, where it is taught chiefly in the last year, the ninth grade. There are indications here and there that eventually it will be spread out over the seventh and eighth grades also and made into a three-year course.
