Excerpt from What Is Man?
As to the study of the human body, we have already at hand in the domain of lenowleclye many excellent works. For a deeper and more comprehensive knowl edge of the human body, therefore, I would refer the reader to any special work on either Anatomy or Physi ology, and this I do especially for the reason that I have had in view merely to show the relation of the body to the smt. This relation thus pointed out may, however, prove to be of particular value in understanding the importance and) value of the human body. The study of the human spirit is a far more dificult subject. This is not strange, for the subject-matter in this study is entirely invisible, while the subjeet-matter of the body is visible. Even in this field of study we fiad many valuable works by eminent authors. With reference to their respective works I would say: Omnia probate, quad bon/um. Est tenete.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book endeavors to deeply explore the existential question of what defines a human being. Beginning with the premise that the universe is comprised of beings both spiritual and material, the author examines the nature of human life and consciousness in relation to the totality of existence. Delving into theological, philosophical, and scientific writings, the book seeks to define being, substance, attributes, space, and duration. The author proposes definitions for life principles and explores the fundamental differences between human, animal, and plant life. They investigate the concept of death with respect to both body and spirit, considering the nature of eternal and temporal death, as well as the separation of body and soul. This expansive study provides an in-depth examination of the human experience and seeks to locate man's place in the universe, ultimately arriving at a definition of a human as a corporeal, moral being.
