Excerpt from Science Elucidative of Scripture and Not Antagonistic to It
Every one who reads the preface to Dr. Colenso's book must be struck with amazement that the author's candour should so far have exceeded his prudence and discretion as to have led him to the discreditable acknowledgement that he, a bishop, should, for the first time, have had his thoughts seriously directed to 'the story of the fiood' by a Zulu Kaffir; that the disciple should have found his master, whose bounden professional duty it was to have well studied the Bible, as unprepared in one of themost notice able events recorded in that Bible, as he, poor heathen, was himself.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book explores discrepancies between modern scientific theories and the record of creation in the Book of Genesis. The author aims to show that science and scripture are not opposing forces, but rather complement each other in painting a comprehensive picture of the origins and nature of the universe. By examining a range of topics, including the motion of the Earth, the formation and age of the Earth, and the existence of light before the creation of the sun, the author argues that scientific discoveries can enhance our understanding of the Bible. The book provides a balanced and informed perspective on the relationship between science and religion, demonstrating how both can contribute to our knowledge of the world around us.
