About the Author

Charles Bradlaugh (26 September 1833 – 30 January 1891) was an English writer, political activist and an atheist.

William De Witt Hyde (September 23, 1858 – June 29, 1917) was an American college president, born at Winchendon, Mass.

Charles Duke Yonge (30 November 1812 – 30 November 1891) was an English historian, classicist and cricketer. He wrote numerous works of modern history, and translated several classical works.
