David (Dave) Diamantes is a consultant, code trainer, curriculum developer and author. He retired from the Fairfax County, Virginia Fire and Rescue Department in 1998 as a Captain II after 25 years with the department. He served as a fire fighter, company officer and fire prevention officer. He supervised the Inspections and Fire Protection Systems Testing Branches and served as the Fire Prevention Division's budget coordinator for several years.
