Richard D. Johnson is an associate professor of management at the University at Albany, State University of New York. His research interests are human resource information systems (HRIS), the psychological and sociological impacts of computing, computer self-efficacy, e-learning, and issues surrounding the digital divide. He has published over 40 academic and practitioner articles in journals such as Information Systems Research, Human Resource Management Review, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and the International Journal of Human Computer Studies. He serves on the editorial boards of AIS Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction and The Data Base for Advances in Information Systems. He is a certified Human Resource Information Professional and is co-Director of the University at Albany s nationally recognized MBA HRIS program. He received his PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park.
