Currently a Professor Emeritus at the Medical Faculty of the University of Toronto, Dr. Charles Godfrey has dedicated most of his life to the medical profession. He has received numerous accolades for his achievements, some of which include the Order of Canada, Companion Member in 1989; the Order of Ontario in 1997; and most recently, the Golden Jubilee Medal in 2003, which is awarded to Canadians who have made outstanding and exemplary contributions to their communities or to Canada as a whole. Dr. Godfrey has also published numerous articles in the "Literary Review of Canada, Medical Post, Canadian Quarterly," and" Sitrep," as well as other articles on the history of medicine.
