Pronounce ch as k. 29 The branches of the superior Maxillary nerve are divisible into three groups:--1st group, those given off in the sphe'nomax'illary fossa. 2nd group, those in the infra-oYbital canal. 3rd group, those on the face. 30 SUPERIOR MAMILLARY NERVE. Branches given off in the sphe'no-max'illary fos'sa:--The orbital branch, two from Meckel's ganglion, and posterior dental branches. The orbital branch divides into two branches: thetgm'poral and ma'lar. 31 SUPERIOR MAXILLARY NERVE. Branches in the infra orbital canal:--The middle dental, and Anterior dental. BRANCHES ON THE FACE. The mtis'cular and cuta'neous branches. 32 The fifth nerve spreads out into a semilunar ganglion, the Casserian ganglion which divides into three branches; the ophthalmic/ superior max'illary, and inferior maxillary.
