Benjamin Franklin (1706–90) was an outstanding statesman and leader. First published in 1874, this work was compiled from Franklin's writings, including his autobiography and correspondence. Volume 3 covers the negotiation of peace with Britain, the drafting of the United States constitution, Franklin's retirement from public life, and his will.
