If this be done adroitly, an with promptitude, the child may yet be saved: sometimes the vectis may be dispensed with. It is sufficient to pass two finger; along the cheek to press round the head towards the sacro-ili articulation, and, when the position is thus changed, to deliver a before. If the pulsation in the funis have ceased, there is no ncec for haste; the head may be extracted by the hands alone, or if wedged in the brim, the cranium maybe perforated behind th ear or through the mouth, the crotchet introduced, and the head brought down.
